The creators of “Moonbase Theta, Out” from the Fable of Folly network announced the release date for their new audio drama called “Waiting for October.” A prologue will drop on October 31 and the first episode of season one on November 3. Episodes after will release bi-weekly on Sundays.
About Monkeyman Productions and Moonbase Theta, Out
Monkeyman Productions — the creators of “Moonbase Theta, Out” was founded in 2008 as a company for theatrical productions. They entered the world of audio production a decade later in 2018 with the first episode of their award-winning podcast about “the last active Moonbase under a repressive corporate system, their shutdown and reawakening, and a revolutionary plan to take control of their own existence.”
The series ended last year in a two-part season finale on September 3, 2023 and August 20 titled “The Voice” An epilogue for the podcast’s story premiered on October 1 of that year. Five bonus episodes in the show’s fourth and final season published the series ended released from October 29, 2023. The last of the bonus episodes debuted in November 2023.
Waiting For October Synopsis
“Waiting for October” is a story of queerness and monsters. In the story October isn’t a month, it’s a place. A location full of folklore and urban legends common across cultures. The story’s first season follows a former resident of October named Karo who left their world and fell in love with a human named Yvonne. The podcast will launch with special posts on the Monkeyman Discord server and celebrated across social media platforms.
